Well here we are in the Big Apple.
After a long plane journey we arrived exhausted on Thursday night, being driven in a stretch limousine from the airport, we felt a little like stars moving through the traffic.
The Beacon Hotel is good and has lots of shops around us, we ate at the cafe next door last night. There is a Fairways market across the road which has everything that you need and it was good to see the differences between NY and home.
This morning it has been raining and eased off for Dianne and I to venture out for a bit of orienting ourselves to the city. We stopped at the Dakota building (where John Lennon lived) to take photos and then went to Strawberry Fields in Central Park to see his memorial. After this we walked downtown, found some shops - surprise surprise, but held back with the spending except for a dress and Di got some shoes.
OOps Di and Robyn went back to the hotel after we organised our phones and I hit the shopping trail again; so many bright colours and good prices. Going somewhere different for dinner tonight, as soon as the software is downloaded I will upload some photos.
